UPDATED: Apple pulls Best Buya€?s iPad 2 inventory due to strange sales practices? [rumor]
A reader of CrunchGear, who works for Best Buy, said that Best Buy was holding off on selling the iPad 2a€?s it had in stock, telling customers there werena€?t any available. In fact they were in stock but allegedly Best Buy had just reached its sales quota for the day and wanted to hold further sales over to another day. As a result Apple is rumored to have pulled all stock of iPad 2a€?s from Best Buy stores with the exception of display models. The Best Buy employee also told CrunchGear that Applea€?s Tim Cook was involved in the decision ···

UPDATED: Will Apple unveil iPad 2 on February 9? iOS 4.3 Calendar icon hints yes!
Florian wrote in to tell us about something he found in iOS 4.3 beta 2 that makes him think Apple might just announce the hotly rumored iPad 2 on February 9:When looking at the preview for a chosen background in the settings app in iOS 4.3 beta 2 you can see that the calendar-icon shows a 9. Looking at the screenshots of the iPad homescreen in the Apple Store, the icon shows a 27. Since Apple presented the first generation of the iPad on Jan. 27th 2010, I think this is a clear evidence for the iPad 2 to be unveiled on Feb. 09th 2011. Directi···

UPDATED: Kevin Rose: iPad 2 coming Feb. 1 with dual cameras, Retina Display
Digg founder Kevin Rose, whose record with Apple rumors ranges from spot on to completely wrong, now claims he has it on good authority that iPad 2 will be announced in 3-4 weeks, possibly February 1, and include dual cameras as well as a Retina Display.Dual cameras seem almost certain given how Apple is pushing FaceTime (and given our video hands-on with the dummy iPad 2 at CES). Retina Display though? We’ve been over that before but just to recap…The current iPad is 1024 x 768. Apple needs to double that in both directions to go Retina, wh···

UPDATED: iPad 2 having problems connecting to Verizon 3G?
Verizon iPad 2 owners are complaining that if they turn off 3G in settings they can’t reconnect to Verizon’s 3G network unless they reboot. Restoring hasn’t helped and apparently swapping devices hasn’t helped either. It’s unclear how many Verizon iPad 2 3G users are suffering with the bug but an Apple Discussions thread has already filled with page after page of complaints.UPDATE: Apple issues the following statement concerning the Verizon 3G connection problem:We are aware that a small number of iPad 2 customers have experienced connectivi···

iOS 4.3.2 untethered jailbreak released [Updated]
redsn0w 0.9.6rc13 is here and it brings with it the promise of an untethered Jailbreak for iOS 4.3.2 devices including iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 3 and 4, and iPad 1. iPhone 4 will be coming as soon as a fix is made, and iPad 2 is still waiting on a new exploit (yes, we’re sad too.) According to the Dev-Team:Only a few weeks after the 4.3.1 untether created by @i0n1c was released, Apple pushed out firmware 4.3.2. Thankfully, it appears Apple didna€?t have a chance to fix the hole used by @i0n1ca€?s untether, so he ported his code over to 4.3.2a€···

UPDATED: Could iOS 4.3 be coming in two weeks? (Feb 13?)
Comments Could iOS 4.3 be coming in two weeks, right after the Verizon-sponsored free trial of The Daily runs out and subscriptions kick in? John Gruber of Daring Fireball thinks so. I originally thought Apple might even announced iOS 4.3 today… until iOS 4.3 beta 3 hit yesterday. I thought they’d require it for in-app subscriptions… until The Daily was released today. Then I thought in-app subscriptions might simply be a back-end change on Apple’s part, no new firmware required for devices. Gruber, however, rightly points out that The Daily···
